Ingredients:
1 cup salt
2 cups flour
4 teaspoons cream of tartar
2 tablespoons cooking oil
2 cups water
Food colouring
Method:
Mix first 5 ingredients in a saucepan. Cook on medium heat for 3-5 minutes, stirring constantly until it becomes stiff. Allow to cool and divide into four. Work a few drops of different colored food coloring into each piece. Store in an airtight container in refrigerator. The dough will be nice and pliable and is non toxic if it finds it's way into little mouths.
